Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 16 - 2, fighting out of London, Vlad Tepes Iii!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Eagle!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eagle jabs Tepes Iii to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Eagle gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Eagle loads up on a big right hand but Tepes Iii slips the punch.
Eagle rushes Tepes Iii and presses him up against the cage.
Eagle lands a hook to the side of the head.
We've been informed that Eagle has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Still in the clinch, Eagle scores with a nice short uppercut.

Tepes Iii tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Eagle's elbow.

I was talking to Tepes Iii's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Tepes Iii pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tepes Iii shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Eagle tries to clinch but Tepes Iii moves away
and Tepes Iii decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Eagle's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tepes Iii stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Eagle swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Oh but Tepes Iii is tightening it up a little... Eagle has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Eagle reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Eagle taps out! Nice BJJ there by Tepes Iii!
