Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ed Bridger (ranked 3551 p4p, 5789 weight class) and Shingen Takeda (ranked 294 p4p, 409 weight class). Takeda has chosen Now We Are Free as his entrance music. Shingen Takeda is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shingen Takeda!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Takeda has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Takeda changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bridger tries to avoid it but Takeda manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bridger to the ground. Bridger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well Bridger has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
