PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ispa Perkele (ranked 105 p4p, 186 weight class) and Kurt Cobain (ranked 19 p4p, 27 weight class). Cobain has chosen Smells Like Teen Spirit as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkele takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Perkele slips a jab from Cobain.
Perkele throws a low kick, looking for Cobain's leg but Cobain calmly moves out of range.
We've been told by Perkele's head coaches at Räkälä that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Cobain takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Perkele moves away from the strike by Cobain.
Perkele misses with a straight left.
Cobain ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Perkele moves away.
Perkele swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Perkele fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cobain has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Cobain throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cobain connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Perkele's hands.

Cobain is rocked!
Perkele looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Perkele backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Cobain's temple! It sends Cobain violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Perkele celebrates and the doctors try to help Cobain!

Ispa Perkele really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Arcticus University: London logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
