Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tuur Carlier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trevor Wright!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Carlier's head.
Carlier misses with a hook.
Wright avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Wright buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Carlier misses with an uppercut.
Wright clinches up with Carlier and pushes him back against the cage.
Wright lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Carlier.
Wright throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Carlier blocks it with crossed arms.
Carlier turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Carlier manages to end up in side control.
Wright really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carlier. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Carlier advances to mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Carlier working for a guillotine from mount but Wright is in no mood to give up.
Wright is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Carlier controlling his opponent.
Wright is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Carlier working for a submission but Wright is keeping him at bay.
Wright is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Carlier quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Carlier but it's paid off an Wright is forced to tap! Nice work by Carlier.
