Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Haggar (ranked 6 p4p, 37 weight class) and Clarence Hoost (ranked 2 p4p, 6 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 38 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Haggar! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 24 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Clarence Hoost! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haggar throws a shot from downtown. Hoost moves away and avoids it. And Hoost responds with a good body kick, but Haggar manages to step out the way in time. Hoost has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Haggar. Haggar has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Crapollas Gym in the buildup to the fight. Haggar misses with a looping left. Hoost throws out a counter right but Haggar avoids it with no problem. Hoost tries to work over Haggar's front leg with a kick but Haggar checks it. Haggar bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Haggar swings widly with a right hand
and Hoost makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. The crowd cheers as Haggar lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hoost doesn't seem phased though. Hoost walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. A right-left combo lands from Haggar. Hoost moves away from the strike by Haggar. Hoost follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Haggar misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hoost.
Haggar looks to land a left hand but Hoost moved out of range nicely. Hoost throws a head kick that Haggar semi-blocks.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Haggar throws a right hand that misses
and Haggar takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Haggar. Haggar lands the left hand. Haggar connects with a right hand. Hoost shakes it off. Hoost leaves Haggar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Hoost walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Haggar tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hoost defends well and Haggar ends up having to push Hoost into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Haggar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Haggar wants to get back to striking at distance but Hoost won't allow it.
Haggar ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Haggar no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Haggar looking for a sweep. Not yet Haggar, not yet. Haggar trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Haggar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hoost gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hoost content to stall in guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Haggar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hoost's corner is telling him to maintain position. Haggar looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Hoost keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Haggar is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hoost sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Haggar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mike Haggar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Haggar uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hoost.
Haggar misses with a takedown and Hoost counters with a stiff right hand. Haggar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hoost's waist but Hoost gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Haggar off to one side. Despite the aggression on Hoost's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Hoost takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Hoost misses with an attempted mid kick.
A big right from Haggar misses. Haggar lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Haggar fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hoost sprawls well initially but Haggar persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Haggar thows a huge punch but Hoost dodges it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Haggar missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Haggar thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Haggar is trying to control the action in half guard but Hoost is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Haggar is stalling here. Hoost is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Haggar seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hoost has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Haggar is looking for a sweep. Hoost decides to stand back up. Haggar thows a left - swing and a miss! Haggar shoots in for a takedown but Hoost shows good takedown defense. Hoost is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Haggar. Haggar misses with a looping left. Haggar misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Hoost counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mike Haggar will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Haggar shoots and misses and Hoost counters with a slapping leg kick. Haggar fails with a takedown attempt. Haggar is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. A jab from Haggar misses. A jab from Haggar finds it's way through Hoost's defenses. Haggar waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hoost. Haggar misses with an uppercut
and Hoost counters with a lovely straight right hand! Haggar throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hoost on the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haggar shoots in for a takedown but Hoost shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Haggar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Haggar swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hoost doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Haggar throws a series of punches but Hoost moves out of range. Hoost ducks under a wild hook from Haggar. Hoost lands a slapping body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoost slips under a jab from Haggar. Hoost scores with a head kick. Haggar tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Haggar ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Good standup being displayed there by Haggar as he connects with a hook. Haggar takes a swing at Hoost's ribcage but misses. Hoost looks like he wants to counter punch here. Haggar shoots in looking for a takedown. Hoost tries to sprawl out of it but Haggar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hoost manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Haggar throws out a loose jab but Hoost uses good head movement to avoid it. Haggar backing away here, and Hoost unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Hoost pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Haggar changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Haggar looks to throw the jab but Hoost is out of range. Hoost throws a wild body kick that Haggar sees coming a mile off. Hoost has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Haggar finds it's way round the side to connect with Hoost's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters circle momentarily. Hoost darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Haggar misses with a takedown attempt - Hoost sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. And Hoost responds with a good body kick, but Haggar manages to step out the way in time. Haggar scores with a jab. Hoost looks to land a body kick but Haggar moved away. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hoost throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Hoost lands a jab to the nose. Haggar misses with a hook. Hoost ducked under it nicely. A combination from Haggar does no damage. Hoost slips under a jab from Haggar. and Hoost counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Haggar! He's just covering up as Hoost starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clarence Hoost! Clarence Hoost is the new heavyweight champion! Clarence Hoost decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
