Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Slick Rick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vito Romero!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rick.
Rick throws a lazy uppercut
and Rick takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rick throws the left hand but Romero avoids the punch easily.
Romero keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rick misses with a hook
and Romero counters with a low kick, right behind Rick 's knee.
Rick connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Rick swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Romero counters with a crisp right hand that drops Rick! Romero lets Rick back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
It looks like Slick Rick has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rick tries for a takedown but Romero circles away easily
and Romero rattles Rick with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Rick tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Romero dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Rick stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Vito Romero!
Post fight, Vito Romero took to the microphone: 'It feels so good to get this victory! Very good! Man, once again it feels nice fighting at 205, I get to enjoy eating a lot more you know. '.
