Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damar Sulekov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Peoples Champion!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sulekov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Champion counters with a two punch combo.
Champion loads up on a big right hand but Sulekov slips the punch.
Sulekov throws a jab but it's blocked by Champion.
Champion looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Sulekov throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Champion counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A punch lands to the side of Sulekov 's head but he takes it in his stride.
We've been hearing reports that Sulekov has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

and Champion counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Sulekov moves out of range of the strikes.
Champion throws a right hand that Sulekov ducks under and follows up with a left that Sulekov also avoids with ease.
Sulekov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Champion.

Sulekov takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Champion misses with an uppercut. Sulekov saw that one coming.
Sulekov slips a straight right by Champion.
Champion is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Sulekov had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Champion throws a jab but it's blocked by Sulekov.
Sulekov tries to counter with a takedown but Champion is quick to defend against it.
Champion lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Sulekov has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sulekov there as he acknowledges the shot.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Peoples Champion dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Champion throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sulekov misses with a double jab
and Champion counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Champion stalks Sulekov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sulekov's face. Sulekov staggers backwards, shaken.
Sulekov moves out of range of the strikes.
Sulekov swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Sulekov scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Champion doesn't seem bothered though.
Sulekov drops his shoulder and cracks Champion with a huge uppercut! Champion goes down! Can Sulekov finish him?

Champion has his foot on Sulekov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sulekov works his way back into a safe position though.
Champion is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Champion pulls Sulekov in close to his closed guard and prevents Sulekov from doing any damage or advancing position.
Champion can't keep his opponent in guard - Sulekov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Sulekov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Champion is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sulekov lands a nice short elbow.

The cut above Peoples Champion's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Peoples Champion's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
