Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Toshika Koga (ranked 2607 p4p, 24350 weight class) and TJ Stuber (ranked 214 p4p, 453 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Toshika Koga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, TJ Stuber!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Koga feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Koga advances to half guard.

Koga works his foot free and advances to mount.
We've been hearing good reports from Koga's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Koga takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Stuber is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Koga seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stuber for as long as he can get away with.

Koga's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Koga continues to stall.
Koga has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Koga continues to hold on tight.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Koga gets a takedown into half guard.
Koga content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Koga frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Koga takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stuber has given up his back. Will we see Koga going for some submissions?
Koga keeps control of the position easily here as Stuber tries to buck him off.

Stuber is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Koga off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Koga is stinking the place up with his stalling.
Toshika Koga overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Toshika Koga dominated that second round.
That's time! Koga's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Koga shoots in looking for a takedown. Stuber tries to sprawl out of it but Koga keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stuber manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from Stuber. No joy for Koga on that attempt.
Horrible takedown attempt by Koga or perhaps it was just good defense by Stuber, which made it look bad.
Stuber feints the counter takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Toshika Koga. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stuber wants to clinch.

Koga closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stuber did well to prevent Koga getting side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Koga seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Stuber is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Koga has taken his back.

Koga is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Koga is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stuber can do to turn this around?

Toshika Koga showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Koga, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
