Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Cowan (ranked 213 p4p, 278 weight class) and Bethania Valverde (ranked 14 p4p, 19 weight class). Valverde has chosen LLAMAME YA as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bethania Valverde!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Valverde throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cowan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cowan.
Some bone on bone action there as Cowan checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Bethania Valverde seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Valverde lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cowan has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cowan and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Cowan rattles Valverde with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Valverde tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Cowan dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Valverde stiff and motionless on the mat!
