Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Longchain (ranked 2002 p4p, 2299 weight class) and Vern Vurris (ranked 244 p4p, 275 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jim Longchain has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jim Longchain seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

With a record of 23 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vern Vurris!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vurris shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Longchain as he jumps to the side.
Longchain appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Vurris misses with a double jab
and Longchain connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Longchain thows a left - swing and a miss!
Vurris looks for the body kick but Longchain saw that one coming.
Longchain was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Vurris escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've been told by Longchain's head coaches at IMMA Gym of Elite ASS that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Vurris connects with a crisp jab.

Vurris is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Longchain knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Vurris with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Longchain to score with a decent uppercut.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Vurris has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Vurris and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

I've got Vurris winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
