Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dusty Rhodes (ranked 534 p4p, 728 weight class) and Nikolai Kaspersky (ranked 68 p4p, 103 weight class). Rhodes comes to the cage accompanied by Bury My Bones. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Kaspersky enables Rhodes to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kaspersky manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Rhodes is nestled in close to Kaspersky, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kaspersky is trying to maintain the position but Rhodes is very close to passing his half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Rhodes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kaspersky gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
