Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clarence Hoost (ranked 8 p4p, 51 weight class) and Ali Amir (ranked 3 p4p, 10 weight class). Amir has chosen Mastodon - Gobblers of Dregs as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 26 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Clarence Hoost! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ali Amir! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoost uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Amir.
Hoost takes a body punch but keeps moving. Amir gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hoost blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Hoost tries to throw a body punch but Amir avoids it by throwing Hoost back against the cage. Amir tries a body shot but Hoost blocks it.
Amir manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Amir is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Amir is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amir looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hoost is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoost controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Amir throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hoost looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Hoost preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Amir looking for a guillotine here but Hoost defends easily.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Amir dodges the punch combination from Hoost.
Amir waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hoost. Hoost is looking to counter punch. A chopping leg kick lands by Amir. Hoost staying out of range there. Amir misses with an uppercut. It looked like Hoost was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Amir. Hoost throws a body kick that misses. Hoost will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amir throws a shot from downtown. Hoost moves away and avoids it. Hoost has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Amir. Amir misses with a leg kick. Amir misses with an uppercut. Hoost saw that one coming. Hoost quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Amir throws a lazy right hand but Hoost sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hoost swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hoost lands a nice looking kick to the body. Amir takes a step back to recover. Hoost pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Hoost wants to land a leg kick but Amir is out of range. Hoost swings away with a leg kick that misses. Ali Amir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Amir tries to clinch but Hoost is having none of it. Hoost throwing a counter right hand but Amir manages to avoid it. Oooooh!!! Hoost has knocked Amir down with a huge combo! Hoost steps away and waves a wobbly Amir back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Ali Amir has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Amir darts in and clinches Hoost up against the cage. Amir lands with a short head shot on the inside. Hoost tries to work over Amir's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A body shot lands from Hoost.
Amir blocks a body shot from Hoost. Hoost softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Amir blocks a body shot from Hoost. Hoost tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Amir's elbow. Amir tries to throw a body punch but Hoost avoids it by throwing Amir back against the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hoost presses Amir against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Amir gets control of Hoost's arms and successfully pulls guard. Amir will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Amir looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Hoost passes into half guard.
Amir looks winded! Hoost trying to control the pace. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Clarence Hoost dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ali Amir's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Amir is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hoost. Hoost throws a quick counter kick to the body but Amir avoids it. Amir rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Amir takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A looping hook to the body misses from Amir. Hoost does a little dance to reset his feet. Amir ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hoost moves away. Amir tries to score with a low kick but Hoost moves his leg out of the way. Amir misses with a hook. Hoost ducked under it nicely. Hoost swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Amir comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoost throws a combination. Amir tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Hoost slips a jab from Amir. Hoost looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. A looping hook to the body misses from Amir. Hoost does a little dance to reset his feet. It appears Hoost was looking to counter with a kick there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amir takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
That has opened up Ali Amir's cut even more. Amir leaves his chin hanging out and Hoost seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Amir crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
