Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ty Vanorden (ranked 680 p4p, 408 weight class) and Slim Perkins (ranked 90 p4p, 53 weight class). Vanorden comes to the cage accompanied by UP UP & AWAY. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ty Vanorden!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Slim Perkins!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanorden stuffs the takedown attempt from Perkins. Perkins gets slowly back to his feet.
Perkins has his takedown stuffed
and Vanorden counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Perkins is defended easily by Vanorden.
Vanorden is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Ty Vanorden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Slim Perkins.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Perkins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vanorden's waist but Vanorden gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Perkins off to one side.
Vanorden throws a counter high kick but Perkins was just alert enough to avoid it.
Slim Perkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Vanorden counters with a crisp right hand that drops Perkins! Vanorden lets Perkins back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Perkins is rocked!

and Vanorden counters with a lovely shot to the body.

and Vanorden counters with a monster head kick that knocks Perkins out cold! He topples like fallen a tree, crashing to the mat! Timbeeeeeerrr!

Ty Vanorden is the new middleweight champion!
After winning the bout, Ty Vanorden thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
