Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nagatsuki Hideki (ranked 2037 p4p, 1295 weight class) and Mickey Contreras (ranked 271 p4p, 179 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nagatsuki Hideki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mickey Contreras! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hideki swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Contreras has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Contreras throws a head kick that misses and Hideki counters with a stiff right hand. A telegraphed right hand from Contreras misses the target. Hideki appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Contreras uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hideki.
Contreras is looking to clinch. Hideki misses the shot to the body. Contreras sizes up Hideki with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Some wild striking there from Contreras.
Contreras throws a lazy head kick and Hideki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hideki throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Contreras tries to close the distance and clinch but Hideki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Contreras swinging wildly here.
Hideki was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. We've been told by Hideki's head coaches at Worn Leather MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jab, jab by Contreras - just one landing. Contreras looks to land a combination but Hideki avoids it well. Contreras throws a head kick that misses. Hideki throws a looping overhand right but Contreras ducks down to avoid it. Contreras throws a head kick that misses. It looked like Hideki wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Mickey Contreras seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Contreras swinging wildly here.
Hideki has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Hideki digs a good body shot into Contreras's ribs. Hideki lands with a right hand. Contreras's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hideki connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Contreras scrambles back to his feet.

Contreras thows a left - swing and a miss! It looked like Hideki wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Contreras misses with a head kick.

and Hideki counters with a crisp right hand that drops Contreras! Hideki lets Contreras back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Contreras throws a right and a left that Hideki avoids nicely. Hideki appears to be looking for a big counter. Hideki misses the jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hideki throws a body punch but Contreras moves out of range. Contreras throws a head kick that misses. Hideki fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Hideki lands with a nice body punch. Contreras looks winded! Contreras closes the distance but Hideki moves to the side enabling Hideki to counter with a crisp jab. A jab from Contreras misses. Hideki slips a jab from Contreras. Hideki keeps the fight on the outside. Hideki jabs Contreras to the body, keeping him at a distance. Contreras takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Contreras. Hideki misses the shot to the body. Contreras tries to clinch but Hideki moves out of range. Contreras misses with a double jab
enabling Hideki to counter with a crisp jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nice defenses there by Contreras. Contreras swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Contreras throws a lazy uppercut
and Hideki counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Contreras is rocked! No joy there for Contreras, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hideki throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Contreras swings for the body but Hideki moves out of range.
Contreras throws a sloppy head kick and Hideki counters with a crisp right hand that drops Contreras! Hideki lets Contreras back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Contreras is still on wobbly legs! Can Hideki finish him? The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hideki throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Contreras stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Contreras avoids the body shot from Hideki.
Contreras throws a sloppy head kick and Hideki moves out of range easily. Hideki is looking to counter punch. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nagatsuki Hideki dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The fighters circling - Hideki throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Contreras seems to have recovered his senses. Hideki drops Contreras with a big left hand! Contreras is injured, injured bad! Hideki jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nagatsuki Hideki! A very excited looking Nagatsuki Hideki made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
