The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prendergast throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kruger takes a kick to the side of the head.
Kruger avoids the head kick by Prendergast.
Kruger throws a head kick that misses.
Prendergast rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kruger counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Prendergast is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Kruger avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Prendergast slips a jab and a cross from Kruger.

Kruger takes the fight into the clinch.

Kruger scores with a nice hook to the head.

Prendergast throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kruger throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Prendergast stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Kruger blocks a head kick by Prendergast.

Kruger fails in his attempt to clinch.

Kruger lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Prendergast is trying to break the clinch but Kruger has him pressed against the cage.

Kruger has been working on his boxing with his coaches at HELLCADEMY in the buildup to the fight.
Prendergast swats away the attempt to clinch by Kruger.

and Prendergast counters with a series of strikes. Kruger will be more careful next time no doubt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Prendergast tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kruger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A looping hook to the body misses from Prendergast. Kruger does a little dance to reset his feet.

Kruger falls off balance throwing a combination
and Prendergast counters with a nice uppercut.
Prendergast keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kruger.
Kruger swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
As Kruger backs off Prendergast throws a huge counter combo but Kruger manages to avoid it all.
Prendergast pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Prendergast misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Kruger connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Prendergast lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Prendergast.
A combination from Kruger does no damage.
Kruger throws a sloppy head kick
and Prendergast cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that's the end of the fight!
Darragh Prendergast comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Prendergast has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
