Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Genkei Takahashi (ranked 270 p4p, 482 weight class) and Jesse Custer (ranked 33 p4p, 61 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Genkei Takahashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jesse Custer!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Custer as Takahashi shoots in.
Takahashi checks a leg kick.
Takahashi swings widly with a right hand
and Custer counters with a nice low kick that buckles Takahashi's knee momentarily.
Custer avoids the body shot from Takahashi.
Custer dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Takahashi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Custer sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Custer drops Takahashi with a beautiful combination! Takahashi stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Custer is looking for the KO!

Takahashi is rocked!

It looks like Genkei Takahashi has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Takahashi walks forward, straight into a front kick from Custer.
Oh Takahashi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Custer takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Takahashi seems to have got his legs back now.
Custer uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Takahashi.
Custer unleashes a big counter combination but Takahashi bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Custer takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Takahashi moves out of range of the strikes.
Custer throws a jab when Takahashi was well out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Takahashi. Custer does a little dance to reset his feet.
Custer wants to clinch up but Takahashi keeps it at a distance.
Custer slips under a jab.
Custer swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Custer lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Takahashi misses with a takedown attempt

and Custer counters with a nice right hand that sends Takahashi toppling to the canvas! Takahashi scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Custer finish him?!
Takahashi has been working on his boxing with his coaches at GAMMA Gym in the buildup to the fight.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Custer fails in his attempt to clinch.
Custer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Takahashi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Custer walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Takahashi scores with the left hand. Custer knows he should have avoided that one.
A looping hook to the body misses from Takahashi. Custer does a little dance to reset his feet.
Takahashi fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Genkei Takahashi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Custer fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Takahashi on the side of the head.
Custer stuffs the takedown.
Takahashi shoots for a takedown but Custer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Custer closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Takahashi out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jesse Custer!
During a confident post fight interview, Jesse Custer thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
