Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charles Bukowski (ranked 1200 p4p, 1712 weight class) and Eric Distefano (ranked 158 p4p, 215 weight class). Charles Bukowski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Eric Distefano!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bukowski dips to his left and cracks Distefano with an uppercut!

Bukowski looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bukowski throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Distefano to regain full guard.
Bukowski looking to sit in guard and control but Distefano gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bukowski is controlling Distefano's posture.
Bukowski is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Distefano is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bukowski wants to sweep but no luck.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bukowski is looking to wear down Distefano with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

and Distefano cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Distefano takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Bukowski manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Distefano on his heels. He'll look to pass Distefano's guard now, I'm sure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Distefano throws out a loose jab but Bukowski uses good head movement to avoid it.

Bukowski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Distefano is standing up over Bukowski. Bukowski looks to escape but Distefano dives into side control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Bukowski blocks a head kick by Distefano.

Distefano looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Distefano avoids the body shot from Bukowski.
Distefano wants to counter with a clinch but Bukowski pushes him away.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bukowski crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Distefano - the referee stops the clock and Bukowski gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Distefano. Bukowski manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Bukowski looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Bukowski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Distefano was well out of range. Poor timing from Bukowski.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bukowski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Distefano pinned against the cage. Distefano gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bukowski bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Distefano's head.

Eric Distefano showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Distefano gets caught napping as Bukowski dives in and scores a takedown. Distefano manages to retain guard.
Bukowski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Distefano swivels though and keeps the full guard.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Distefano! But no joy.

Bukowski shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Distefano defends it nicely.
