The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gum closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Feynman controlling the position for now.
Gum trying to control from half guard but Feynman is working away.
Gum is stalling here. Feynman is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gum seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Feynman has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Gum tries to improve position but can't.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Feynman tries to move to mount but Gum blocks the move with his legs.
The referee asks Feynman politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Feynman prefers to stall for the moment though.
Feynman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Gum tries to escape but Feynman is in control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gum tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Feynman content just to control the position here.
Gum is trying to stand.

Feynman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Gum tries to lock up and control but Feynman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Feynman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Gum is in all sorts of trouble here.
Feynman manages to capitalize on a mistake by Gum to take his back!
Feynman is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Feynman lands a nice looking body shot.
Gum's coach down at The Jungle Room was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gum's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Feynman is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Feynman shuts the power down on Gum. Lights out, game over! Feynman is your winner.
