Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bantam Rooster (ranked 2366 p4p, 1491 weight class) and Jaro Lalla (ranked 160 p4p, 109 weight class). Lalla has chosen ЛЮБИ as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bantam Rooster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 29 - 36 - 2, fighting out of London, Jaro Lalla! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lalla bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lalla is putting a hurting on Rooster here, landing some big shots from side control. Rooster taking a bit of punishment here - Lalla scoring with strikes. Rooster takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Lalla working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Lalla working the head and body with strikes. Rooster wants to control but Lalla postures up. Lalla lands a nice forearm strike. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lalla in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Lalla working away diligently from side control. Rooster gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Rooster on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Rooster actively working from the bottom here. Lalla is working for a submission of some sort.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lalla looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rooster with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Rooster on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Lalla scoring with strikes to the body and head. Nice strikes from Lalla there. Lalla working Rooster over with strikes. Lalla lands strikes from half guard. Rooster is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lalla scores with a couple of nice shots. Rooster definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lalla connects with a nice short shot to Rooster's temple. Ground and pound from Lalla. Rooster on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Rooster looking for submissions off his back. Rooster is pressing down on Lalla's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lalla postures up.
Lalla distracts Rooster with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Rooster has his foot on Lalla's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lalla works his way back into a safe position though. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lalla lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Rooster throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Lalla with a nice head shot there. Rooster working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lalla doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lalla manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Lalla lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. My spies in Shut Up & Train! {$1000} inform me that Lalla has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Lalla stands up over Rooster, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Lalla passes Rooster's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Rooster manages to get to full guard.
Lalla is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Rooster is rocked! Lalla is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lalla postures up and lands a big shot to Rooster's brow. Oh Rooster is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Lalla slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Lalla has an Americana. Rooster didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Lalla is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Lalla hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
