Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Super Salajudin Ii! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Spinning Fire! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salajudin Ii throws a shot from downtown. Fire moves away and avoids it. Salajudin Ii dodges the punch combination from Fire.
Fire misses with a few strikes there.
Fire fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Salajudin Ii misses with a looping left. Fire scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Salajudin Ii throws out a loose jab but Fire uses good head movement to avoid it. Salajudin Ii listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Fire fails with an attempt to clinch.
Salajudin Ii was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fire doesn't manage to clinch there - Salajudin Ii circles away.
Fire misses with a double jab.
A little feinted left hand from Salajudin Ii on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Fire throws a wild combination but nothing lands. An attempted straight right counter from Salajudin Ii misses the target. Fire ducks under a wild hook from Salajudin Ii.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fire uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Salajudin Ii. Fire unleashes a big counter combination but Salajudin Ii bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Fire takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Fire ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Salajudin Ii misses with a hook to the body
and Fire counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Salajudin Ii is controlling Fire's posture. Salajudin Ii looking to control.
Fire trying to control the position from guard on top but Salajudin Ii is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Salajudin Ii has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fire can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Salajudin Ii has Fire pulled in close to control his posture. Fire throws a big right hand that misses. Fire throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fire trying to control but Salajudin Ii is working from the bottom. Fire scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fire throwing strikes from guard but Salajudin Ii blocks nicely. Fire in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Fire told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Salajudin Ii has control of Fire's left arm, preventing Fire from doing any damage. Salajudin Ii is trying to keep Fire in close.
Fire works over Salajudin Ii with some ground and pound from guard. Fire trying to control but Salajudin Ii is working from the bottom. Salajudin Ii is adopting a defensive guard. Fire trying to control the position from guard on top but Salajudin Ii is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

and Salajudin Ii counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Salajudin Ii is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Fire's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Fire misses with a body shot
and Salajudin Ii counters with a lovely shot to the body. Salajudin Ii scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Salajudin Ii slips a jab and a cross from Fire.
Fire shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Salajudin Ii pinned against the cage. Salajudin Ii gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Fire throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Salajudin Ii counter with a right hand. Fire ducks right into an uppercut from Salajudin Ii. Salajudin Ii looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Salajudin Ii throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Fire looks winded! Fire just misses with a punch to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Salajudin Ii fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Fire square on the jaw! Damn, Fire is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Super Salajudin Ii! After winning the bout, Super Salajudin Ii thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. Spinning Fire spoke after the fight, saying 'I'll back stronger'.
