Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mikheil Berishvili (ranked 1502 p4p, 1349 weight class) and Ominous Odinson (ranked 114 p4p, 98 weight class). Berishvili comes into the arena with Acharuli Gandagana blaring out of the sound system. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mikheil Berishvili! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ominous Odinson! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Eddie Farnsworth and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berishvili takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Berishvili uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Odinson.

A countering left hand to the body from Odinson misses. Berishvili fails in his attempt to clinch. Odinson tries to keep at a distance but Berishvili has taken the fight into the clinch. Berishvili manages to pull guard.
Odinson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Berishvili has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Odinson has managed to get both his arms back between Berishvili's legs - danger averted. Berishvili trying to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Berishvili is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Odinson defends well. Odinson controls from within his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Berishvili throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Odinson escapes and throws Berishvili's legs to the side, diving into side control! Odinson tries to stand but Berishvili is controlling his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Odinson tries to advance to mount but Berishvili denies him. Berishvili is trying to control Odinson's posture but Odinson avoids it. Berishvili is looking to reverse the position. Berishvili is trying to control Odinson's posture but Odinson avoids it. Odinson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Berishvili wants to escape the position.
Odinson is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Berishvili breaks Odinson's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Mikheil Berishvili will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Berishvili waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Odinson. Odinson flicks out a counter leg kick but Berishvili steps away. A nice leg kick lands there from Odinson. A combination from Odinson does no damage. Berishvili definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. A solid leg kick lands there for Odinson.
Berishvili wants to clinch up but Odinson keeps it at a distance. Odinson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Berishvili blocks a jab. Odinson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Odinson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Odinson throws the left hand but Berishvili avoids the punch easily. Odinson lands a head shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Berishvili checks a leg kick nicely. Odinson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Berishvili is out of range and Odinson settles back down. Berishvili uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Odinson. Berishvili takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Odinson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Odinson throws a hook but Berishvili blocks it. Odinson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Berishvili. Odinson appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Odinson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Berishvili uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Odinson.
Odinson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Berishvili connects with a looping right hand.
Berishvili closes the distance and clinches. Odinson lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Berishvili backwards. Odinson tries to work over Berishvili's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Odinson misses with a punch to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Berishvili fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Odinson pushes Berishvili back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Odinson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Berishvili pulls guard effortlessly. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Odinson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Odinson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Berishvili has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Odinson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Berishvili keeping full guard, as Odinson tries to pass. Odinson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Berishvili. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Berishvili is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Odinson is concentrating on defense, preventing Berishvili from advancing position. Berishvili is taking a breather. Odinson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Odinson has his hands clasped together around Berishvili's back. He's all about the action. Odinson is looking to get back to full guard here but Berishvili has managed to pass to side control instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Odinson holding on. Odinson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Berishvili staying calm. Odinson tries to bench press Berishvili off him but Berishvili keeps the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ominous Odinson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Berishvili is looking to clinch. Berishvili clinches up with Odinson and pushes him back against the cage. Odinson manages to break the clinch.
Berishvili checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Berishvili tries to clinch up but Odinson circles away and keeps his distance. Odinson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Berishvili moves in looking to clinch but Odinson pushes him off. Odinson tries a low kick but Berishvili avoids it. Berishvili is looking to counter the offense by Odinson and move into the clinch. Odinson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Berishvili drives through and clinches with Odinson against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round. Berishvili escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Odinson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Odinson tries to stand but Berishvili is controlling from the bottom. Odinson trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Berishvili manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Berishvili looking to pass the guard. Berishvili is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Berishvili trying to control but Odinson is working from the bottom. Odinson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Berishvili not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Berishvili advances to half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Odinson can do anything to dispel that myth. That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Berishvili slows the pace down in half guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Berishvili tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Odinson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Berishvili sizes up Odinson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Odinson is looking to slow Berishvili down with leg kicks. Mikheil Berishvili seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Berishvili has taken the fight to the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Odinson lands with a right to the head. Odinson is working Berishvili over against the cage. Berishvili tries to pull guard but Odinson holds him up against the cage and eventually Berishvili drops back down to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Ominous Odinson. I think Odinson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
