Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Sortek Redfist (ranked 3191 p4p, 2545 weight class) and Ali Dixon (ranked 444 p4p, 356 weight class). Redfist comes to the ring accompanied by Earl Sweatshirt-Chum. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 52 - 29 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Sortek Redfist! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ali Dixon! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Redfist slips a jab and a cross from Dixon.
Redfist keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Redfist takes one on the button. Redfist throws a head kick but Dixon moves out of range.
It seemed like Dixon was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Redfist has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Dillo's Deadly Dojo in the buildup to the fight. Dixon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Dixon takes one to the side of the head.
It looks like Ali Dixon has been cut. Redfist misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Redfist cracks Dixon with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Dixon get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Dixon looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Redfist defending well as Dixon loads up on a big left hand. Redfist looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Dixon lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dixon.
It looks like Sortek Redfist has been cut. Dixon ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Redfist walks into a jab. Redfist is looking to slow Dixon down with leg kicks. Dixon misses with a two punch combination.
Good shot there by Redfist. Redfist pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Redfist rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Dixon to counter with a crisp jab. Sloppy strikes from Redfist. Those never looked like landing. A little jabbing left from Dixon on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Dixon misses with a looping left. Redfist throws out a head kick that Dixon doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Dixon crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Dixon's eyes and has decided to let it go on!
Dixon is rocked! Dixon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redfist lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Dixon crumples to the floor! Redfist milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Sortek Redfist! Sortek Redfist decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
