Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nicholaus Strauss (ranked 2419 p4p, 2593 weight class) and Dionizy Kruczek (ranked 320 p4p, 340 weight class). Kruczek has chosen Born To Raise Hell as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nicholaus Strauss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dionizy Kruczek! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Strauss finds it's way through Kruczek's defenses. Kruczek throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Kruczek has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Kruczek staying out of range there. Kruczek fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Strauss manages to avoid it. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Kruczek misses the body punch and Strauss counters with a stiff right hand. Strauss missing with a left hand there. Kruczek was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Strauss misses with an uppercut. Kruczek misses with a left hand and Strauss counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Strauss scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Dionizy Kruczek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kruczek takes a body punch but keeps moving. A punch lands to the side of Strauss 's head but he takes it in his stride. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kruczek shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kruczek is stalling in the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kruczek won't allow Strauss to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kruczek is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A left and a right from Strauss both land. Nice combination. Kruczek closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Strauss quickly recovers to half guard. Strauss makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Kruczek keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Strauss. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Strauss jabs at Kruczek's body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A jab from Strauss misses. Strauss doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Strauss fails to land with a series of punches.
A solid leg kick lands there for Kruczek.
Kruczek changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Strauss tries to avoid it but Kruczek manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Strauss to the ground. Strauss escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kruczek throws a lazy right hand but Strauss sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kruczek lands a nice shot that snaps Strauss's head back.
A left lands for Strauss. Strauss throws a body punch but Kruczek moves out of range. Strauss stuffs the takedown attempt from Kruczek. Kruczek gets slowly back to his feet. Strauss gets a clinch. Strauss can't find room to land a body shot as Kruczek controls the action.

Kruczek has his foot on Strauss's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Strauss works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kruczek working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Strauss has passed into half guard!

Kruczek looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kruczek is trying to control but can't.
Strauss wants to stand up but Kruczek has a hold of him and won't allow it. Strauss takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Strauss's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Kruczek wants to improve his position but Strauss is controlling well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Strauss is taking a breather. Kruczek says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Kruczek regains full guard. Nicely done. Kruczek working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Strauss doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Strauss manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kruczek escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Strauss gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kruczek looking for a guillotine here but Strauss defends easily.
Strauss slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nicholaus Strauss dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Strauss wants to clinch up but Kruczek keeps it at a distance. Kruczek throws out a counter right but Strauss avoids it with no problem. Kruczek misses the shot to the body. Kruczek lands with a good body shot. Kruczek fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Strauss chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kruczek can pounce on him.

Strauss takes a swing at Kruczek's ribcage but misses. A jab from Strauss misses. We've been told by Strauss's head coaches at Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Strauss fails to land with a series of punches.
Strauss thuds a left hand into Kruczek's body. Sloppy strikes from Strauss. Those never looked like landing. Kruczek is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Strauss rather than just go for the knockout. Strauss misses with a looping left. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kruczek on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Strauss looks to land a left hand but Kruczek moved out of range nicely. Strauss uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kruczek. Strauss misses with a hook. Nice body punch from Strauss. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Strauss throws a body punch but Kruczek moves out of range. Nicholaus Strauss is winning the standup battle so far.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Strauss wants it to stay on the feet. A little feinted left hand from Strauss on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Strauss misses with a body shot.
Kruczek looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Kruczek connects with the punch. Strauss moves out of range of the leg kick from Kruczek. Strauss darts in and clinches Kruczek up against the cage. Kruczek misses with a punch to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kruczek escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Strauss gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Strauss stays in close to Kruczek's body and controls the position. Kruczek throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's three minutes gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Dionizy Kruczek has got the better of the ground game so far.

Strauss closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kruczek. A combination from Kruczek does no damage. Strauss tries to close the distance and clinch but Kruczek swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Strauss throws a series of punches but Kruczek avoids them all with ease. Strauss uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kruczek. Strauss scores with a hook to the body. Kruczek takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Strauss moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Strauss throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Strauss tries to clinch up. Kruczek works the jab nicely. Strauss misses with a straight left. Kruczek scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Strauss doesn't seem bothered though. Strauss lands with a hook. Kruczek tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Kruczek takes a swing at Strauss's ribcage but misses. Kruczek takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Strauss cracks Kruczek with an open hand slap. Dionizy Kruczek has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Strauss closes the distance and clinches. Kruczek tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A short left from Strauss. Kruczek tries to land knees in the clinch but Strauss avoids the damage to the body. Kruczek tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Strauss smiles and moves away.
A punch combination from Strauss misses. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kruczek throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Strauss looks to score with a jab to the body but Kruczek is just out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kruczek gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Strauss defending well as Kruczek loads up on a big left hand. Strauss is looking to clinch but Kruczek is avoiding it.
Strauss misses the jab. A right-left combo lands from Kruczek. Strauss lands with a cross.
Kruczek is rocked! Strauss feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kruczek sprawling to the canvas! Kruczek rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Strauss finish him?!
Kruczek is still on wobbly legs! Can Strauss finish him? Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kruczek loses concentration momentarily and Strauss pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Kruczek crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Strauss finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nicholaus Strauss! Nicholaus Strauss was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
