Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Calvin Deane (ranked 290 p4p, 760 weight class) and Fred Young (ranked 21 p4p, 50 weight class). Deane kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Cinderella Man. Young is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Real Ganja Man. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fred Young!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young throws a head kick that misses.
Deane closes the distance and clinches.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Deane blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
We've been hearing reports that Deane has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
The referee calls for Deane to work.
Young stalling in the clinch.
Young swings wildly with an uppercut but Deane uses good head movement to avoid it.
Deane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Deane slips under a jab from Young.
Deane steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Young.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Deane shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Deane was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Young is pushing Deane's head away, looking to escape. Deane manages to hold on to the position though.
Deane connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Young some visible discomfort.

Young takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Young is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Deane is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Young wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Deane is looking to take a break and control but Young is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Deane lands a few punches from side control.
Deane tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
A big shot lands for Deane! That's hurt Young! Will he recover? Deane fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

A relieved looking Calvin Deane thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
