Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giro Inhanamoto (ranked 34 p4p, 53 weight class) and Charon Lehto (ranked 5 p4p, 7 weight class). Charon Lehto has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Giro Inhanamoto's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Giro Inhanamoto! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 21 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charon Lehto! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Lehto. Lehto throws out a counter right but Inhanamoto avoids it with no problem. Inhanamoto just misses with a punch to the body.
Inhanamoto misses with a left hand and Lehto connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Giro Inhanamoto has been cut. Lehto moves out of range as Inhanamoto throws a body kick.
Lehto swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Inhanamoto lands with a straight right. Lehto didn't see that one coming. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Inhanamoto's jab looks to have found its range, popping Lehto under the eye. Lehto moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Nice straight punches there by Lehto. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lehto. Inhanamoto throws a right hand that misses
and Lehto counters with a lovely straight right hand! Inhanamoto throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Giro Inhanamoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Inhanamoto throws a predictable looking body shot
and Lehto cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Lehto doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Decent striking displayed by Lehto there. Inhanamoto throws a lazy right hand but Lehto sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Lehto lands a nice looking body shot.
A jab from Lehto does it's job there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Inhanamoto misses with an uppercut
and Lehto counters with a straight right hand. Lehto takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Inhanamoto blocks a low kick nicely. Lehto just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromInhanamoto. A clash of legs there as Lehto blocks the low kick. Inhanamoto throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Lehto connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Oooooh!!! Lehto has knocked Inhanamoto down with a huge combo! Lehto steps away and waves a wobbly Inhanamoto back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Inhanamoto is rocked! Lehto slips under a jab from Inhanamoto. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Inhanamoto misses with a straight right. Inhanamoto slips a jab from Lehto.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Inhanamoto misses the target. Inhanamoto misses with a shot to the body and Lehto counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Inhanamoto avoids the body shot from Lehto.
Inhanamoto appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Lehto rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Inhanamoto counters with a stiff right hand. Inhanamoto looks to throw the jab but Lehto is out of range. Lehto wants to clinch up but Inhanamoto keeps it at a distance. Inhanamoto thinks about countering with a head kick. Lehto takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Charon Lehto dominated that round. The cut man is working on Giro Inhanamoto's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Inhanamoto sizes up Lehto with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Charon Lehto seems to be getting the better of the standup. Inhanamoto throws a body kick that misses. Lehto is looking to score with low kicks. Inhanamoto scores with a nice strike. Inhanamoto uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Inhanamoto might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lehto. Inhanamoto throws a counter high kick but Lehto was just alert enough to avoid it. Inhanamoto tries a head kick but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lehto throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. We've been told by Inhanamoto's head coaches at Bushido Martial Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Lehto has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. A head kick by Lehto misses and Inhanamoto counters with a lovely straight right hand! Inhanamoto throws an overhand right that lands on Lehto's shoulder, as Lehto tries to avoid the shot. Lehto is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Inhanamoto with a body shot. Inhanamoto tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lehto was well out of range. Poor timing from Inhanamoto. Inhanamoto paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Inhanamoto throws an off balance right hand
and Lehto counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Inhanamoto throws a sloppy body shot
and Lehto counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lehto throws a combination that misses and Inhanamoto counters with a lovely straight right hand! Inhanamoto is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lehto. The fighters circling - Inhanamoto throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Inhanamoto throws a hook but Lehto avoids it easily. Lehto unleashes a big counter combination but Inhanamoto bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Inhanamoto misses the shot to the body. Inhanamoto moves out of range of the body kick from Lehto.
Inhanamoto keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lehto works over Inhanamoto's head and body with a nice combination. Inhanamoto throws a shot from downtown. Lehto moves away and avoids it. Despite the aggression on Lehto's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Inhanamoto scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Lehto scores with a shot to the body.
Lehto stuns Inhanamoto with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Inhanamoto looks to throw a body kick and Lehto counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Inhanamoto misses with a hook
and Lehto counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Inhanamoto takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Giro Inhanamoto's cut is getting worse. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lehto lands a nice shot to the body.
A slapping body kick lands there for Lehto. Good shot there by Lehto. Inhanamoto looks up at the clock. Bad move! Lehto lands a right hand from hell, dropping Inhanamoto. Lehto pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charon Lehto! Charon Lehto is the new heavyweight champion! Charon Lehto spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
