Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Hull (ranked 524 p4p, 1121 weight class) and Bryce Helix (ranked 47 p4p, 81 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Helix as Hull shoots in.
Hull fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Helix sprawls well initially but Hull persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hull wants to control but Helix is keeping him busy.
Hull is controlling the pace.
Helix is controlling Hull's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Hull works his way into full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hull seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Helix does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Helix felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Hull wants to free his trapped foot but Helix is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Hull wants to advance to full mount but Helix doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Hull has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Helix finds it's way round the side to connect with Hull's head.
Hull takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Helix misses with an uppercut. Hull saw that one coming.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hull tries to score a power double leg takedown but Helix sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hull somewhat.
Hull takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Helix takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
A nice leg kick lands there from Helix.
Helix feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hulls jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Hull throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Helix stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hull dives in for a single leg takedown but Helix sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Hull pulls Helix into guard.
Hull looking for subs off his back but Helix has passed one foot through into half guard.
Helix is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Hull is trying to get back to full guard.

Jamie Hull overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hull works his way to full guard. Good work.
Hull has his foot on Helix's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Helix works his way back into a safe position though.

Hull changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Helix tries to avoid it but Hull manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Helix to the ground. Helix escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Helix fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hull has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Helix uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hull has time to react.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Helix has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Helix does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Hull takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Hull fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Helix avoids it really well and circles away.

Hull is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

A nice side step and Helix releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
