PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ispa Perkele (ranked 41 p4p, 234 weight class) and Dude McWrestler (ranked 6 p4p, 33 weight class). McWrestler has chosen Acclaimed Emotions as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Ispa Perkele!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Dude McWrestler!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkele throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting McWrestler counter with a right hand.
Perkele fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McWrestler has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Perkele uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McWrestler.

Perkele is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
McWrestler is looking to take a break and control but Perkele is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Perkele tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McWrestler was well out of range. Poor timing from Perkele.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McWrestler has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McWrestler and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
