Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ezekiel Marley (ranked 131 p4p, 106 weight class) and Giro Inhanamoto (ranked 14 p4p, 10 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Marley might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to WANTED. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ezekiel Marley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Giro Inhanamoto!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Inhanamoto bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A slapping leg kick lands for Inhanamoto.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Marley keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Marley tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Inhanamoto keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Inhanamoto throws out a counter right but Marley avoids it with no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Inhanamoto chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Marley moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Marley misses the body punch
letting Inhanamoto counter with a right hand.

It looks like Ezekiel Marley has been cut.
Inhanamoto lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Marley lands with a nice body punch.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Inhanamoto.
A little feinted left hand from Marley on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Inhanamoto steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Marley. That one must have hurt.
Marley connects with an inside leg kick.
Inhanamoto misses with a kick to the body
and Marley counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Inhanamoto has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Marley finds it's way round the side to connect with Inhanamoto's head.

It looks like Giro Inhanamoto has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Marley cracks Inhanamoto with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Inhanamoto looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Marley finish him?
Inhanamoto misses with a body kick.
Marley swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
We've been told by Marley's head coaches at Convicted Fight Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Marley sends Inhanamoto crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Marley is motioning to the referee to let Inhanamoto up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

A slow jab from Inhanamoto misses its intended target.
Marley half committed to a counter leg kick.
Marley cracks a nice hook into Inhanamoto's ribs.
Marley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Inhanamoto.
A low kick from Inhanamoto is predictable there
and Marley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Inhanamoto misses with a looping right.
Marley thinks about countering with a body kick.
Inhanamoto throws a body punch but Marley moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Marley swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Inhanamoto throws a counter combo.
Marley pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Marley bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Inhanamoto throws a right hand that misses
and Marley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Marley sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Marley lands a nice leg kick that just misses Inhanamoto's sensitive parts.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ezekiel Marley dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Inhanamoto lands a nice shot to the body.
Inhanamoto pulls out of a head kick attempt.
It looked like Marley wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Marley throws a leg kick
and Inhanamoto counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ezekiel Marley is winning the standup battle so far.

Marley lands a big head kick that sends Inhanamoto tumbling to the mat! Marley takes a step backwards and waves Inhanamoto back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Inhanamoto uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Marley.
Inhanamoto throws out a leg kick but Marley moves out of range and Inhanamoto only half commits.

Marley thumps Inhanamoto with a low kick.
Inhanamoto swings for the body but Marley moves out of range.
Marley cracks Inhanamoto with a right hand to the side of the head.
The fighters circling - Inhanamoto throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Inhanamoto lands with an uppercut that bounces Marley off the cage and back into range.
A slow jab from Marley misses its intended target.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Inhanamoto in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Inhanamoto jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Marley misses with a kick to the body
enabling Inhanamoto to counter with a crisp jab.
Marley throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Inhanamoto counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Marley thinking.
Inhanamoto looks to land a right hand but Marley moved out of range.
Marley rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Inhanamoto counters with a stiff right hand.
Marley misses with a leg kick
and Inhanamoto counters with a right hand to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Marley ducks under a wild hook from Inhanamoto.
Inhanamoto missing with a left hand there. Marley was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Marley thows a leg kick but Inhanamoto checks it
and Inhanamoto counters with a flying knee that drops Marley! Inhanamoto dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Giro Inhanamoto!
A very excited looking Giro Inhanamoto made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
