The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monkey lands a body shot.
Andor Seres seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monkey dips to his left and cracks Seres with an uppercut!
Monkey takes a jab right on the kisser.
Seres throws a leg kick but Monkey sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Seres closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Monkey did well to prevent Seres getting side control.

Seres drops his hands momentarily and Monkey takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Seres dives in for a single leg takedown but Monkey sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

and Monkey makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Monkey is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

A lazy left from Seres finds it's target.
That kick from Monkey tenderised Seres's leg. Seres is trying to keep his angry face on.

Seres takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It seemed like Seres was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Spider Monkey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Monkey throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
It looks like Monkey has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Seres has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Monkey.
Monkey scores with the left hand. Seres knows he should have avoided that one.
Monkey keeps Seres at a distance using the push kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A relieved looking Spider Monkey thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
