Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Santino Cabal (ranked 898 p4p, 755 weight class) and Andrei Averyanov (ranked 134 p4p, 110 weight class). Averyanov has chosen Drago's Entrance Theme as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Santino Cabal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrei Averyanov!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabal lands with a kick to the temple. Averyanov shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Averyanov misses with a hook.
A counter left hand to the body from Cabal misses its target.
Cabal throws a hook to the side of Averyanov's head but Averyanov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A slow jab from Cabal misses its intended target.
Averyanov feints a counter leg kick.
Cabal jabs Averyanov to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Cabal lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Averyanov at a distance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Averyanov counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Cabal throws a poor cross that misses
and Averyanov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A slapping leg kick lands for Cabal.
Averyanov cracks Cabal with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Averyanov has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Cabal to stand back up!
Cabal is rocked!
Averyanov is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Cabal flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Cabal is out cold! Averyanov holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Andrei Averyanov!
A relieved looking Andrei Averyanov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
