Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zahbit Lovanov (ranked 373 p4p, 451 weight class) and Yannick Sakala (ranked 51 p4p, 60 weight class). Sakala comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Pole Pole kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yannick Sakala!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lovanov misses with a left hand
and Sakala counters with a leg kick.
Sakala takes one to the side of the head.
Lovanov has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team Grunt in the buildup to the fight.
Lovanov is looking to clinch.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Sakala checks a leg kick.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Sakala. Lovanov shrugs it off though.
Sakala throws a sloppy body shot
and Lovanov counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Lovanov misses with a hook to the body
and Sakala counters with a nice uppercut.
Sakala throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sakala throws out a loose jab but Lovanov uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lovanov appears to be looking for a big counter.
Lovanov scores with a takedown into Sakala's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lovanov stopping the sweep attempt from Sakala.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lovanov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sakala wants to stand and escape but Lovanov is having none of it.
Sakala controls Lovanov momentarily but Lovanov frees himself.
Lovanov throwing strikes but missing.
Sakala can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lovanov controls the pace.
Lovanov wants to control from the top but Sakala keeps moving.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Lovanov is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Lovanov stays in close to Sakala's body and controls the position.
Sakala is trying to control the position from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lovanov works over Sakala with some ground and pound from guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lovanov's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Lovanov trying to control the position from guard on top but Sakala is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lovanov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sakala swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sakala looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lovanov is one step ahead there.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Lovanov cracks Sakala with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
It looks like Yannick Sakala has been cut.
Sakala lands with an uppercut that bounces Lovanov off the cage and back into range.
Sakala uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lovanov.
Lovanov throws a combination that misses
and Lovanov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sakala misses with a kick to the body.
Sakala uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lovanov.

Lovanov misses with a looping left.
Lovanov thuds a left hand into Sakala's body.
Lovanov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A jab from Lovanov does it's job there.
Sakala takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sakala gets off balance looking for a body kick
enabling Lovanov to counter with a crisp jab.
Lovanov shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Lovanov drops his shoulder and cracks Sakala with a huge uppercut! Sakala goes down! Can Lovanov finish him?
Sakala is rocked!
Lovanov arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Sakala's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Zahbit Lovanov!
Zahbit Lovanov decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
