Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dredd Tatum (ranked 1677 p4p, 1529 weight class) and Jah Kid (ranked 91 p4p, 87 weight class). Kid has chosen Walk - Pantera as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Dredd Tatum has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dredd Tatum! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jah Kid! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kid gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kid is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tatum is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Tatum's coaches at Doom\'s Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Tatum prevents Kid from moving into mount. Kid thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kid trying to control the position but Tatum is working away. Kid tries to move to mount but Tatum blocks the move with his legs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tatum is trying to control Kid's posture but Kid avoids it. Kid is looking to take a break and control but Tatum is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tatum manages to get back to half guard. Kid looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Kid wants to work for an arm triangle but Tatum is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kid is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Tatum tries to reverse the position but Kid maintains control. Tatum is squirming around, avoiding Kid's attempts to control the action. Tatum is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kid trying to control but he's not successful this time. Kid tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kid trying to control but he's not successful this time. Kid wants to finish this one by submission but Tatum is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kid. Kid looking for a guillotine from mount but Tatum is having none of it. Kid moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Tatum has worked his arm free - good work by Tatum!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kid tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kid has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kid has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Tatum! Tatum is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kid looking to control but Tatum is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jah Kid dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Nice takedown defense from Tatum. No joy for Kid on that attempt. Tatum misses with a looping left. Kid avoids the body shot from Tatum.
Kid fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tatum avoids it really well and circles away. Tatum scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. A jab from Kid misses. Kid drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kid wants to pass the guard but Tatum is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kid has gone for a leg lock! Tatum slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kid's guard. Kid looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tatum slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Tatum stopping the sweep attempt from Kid. Kid is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Tatum keeps control of the position for the meantime. Kid is trying to work for a kimura but Tatum is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kid is stalling here. Tatum is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kid seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Tatum has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Tatum gets to mount! Kid was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Tatum controlling the position easily from mount. Kid is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kid is still trying to improve position. Tatum manages to capitalize on a mistake by Kid to take his back! Kid felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Kid has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kid tries to escape but Tatum has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Kid looking very determined here, making life difficult for Tatum.

Will Tatum go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Kid turns into Tatum and is now in his guard.
Tatum keeping moving, preventing Kid from controlling successfully. Kid preventing the sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tatum keeping full guard, as Kid tries to pass. Kid trying to control but Tatum is working from the bottom. Kid looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tatum can't keep his opponent in guard - Kid advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kid uses his free foot to push down on Tatum's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tatum. Tatum has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Kid's lack of action.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jah Kid will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! Tatum connects with the punch. Kid shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tatum as he jumps to the side. Tatum lands with a right hand.
It looks like Jah Kid has been cut. Tatum misses with an uppercut. Tatum misses with a hook
and Kid counters with a shoot takedown. Tatum fights it but they end up in guard. Kid stays in close to Tatum's body and controls the position. Kid pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tatum is keeping the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kid looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tatum is one step ahead there. Tatum engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kid is looking for a triangle but Tatum pushes his legs off easily.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jah Kid. I've got Kid winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
