PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kano Sicarius (ranked 775 p4p, 1521 weight class) and Domonic Dilbrandt (ranked 68 p4p, 138 weight class). Sicarius comes to the cage accompanied by Klendathu Drop. Dilbrandt has chosen NO CHANCE as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kano Sicarius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Domonic Dilbrandt!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dilbrandt moves away from the strike by Sicarius.
Dilbrandt throws out a loose jab but Sicarius uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dilbrandt ducks under a wild hook from Sicarius.
Dilbrandt ducks right into an uppercut from Sicarius.
Sicarius ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sicarius looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Dilbrandt looks to land a right hand but Sicarius moved out of range.
Sicarius misses with a hook. Dilbrandt ducked under it nicely.

Dilbrandt bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Dilbrandt stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Dilbrandt dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sicarius. That did some damage!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
