Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bimbo Slaissi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, David Hanson!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slaissi misses with a double jab

and Hanson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hanson.

Hanson has gone for a leg lock! Slaissi slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hanson's guard.


Hanson looking for a guillotine here but Slaissi defends easily.

Hanson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Slaissi defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slaissi's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Hanson flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Hanson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Slaissi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Slaissi's back!
Our spies down at at London MMA Club inform us that Hanson has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Hanson is looking for a choke. Slaissi gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Slaissi manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Hanson misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Hanson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hanson tries to improve position but can't.
Hanson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Slaissi off and has taken his back!

Hanson somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

Hanson is looking for the choke from the back position but Slaissi is controlling his hands well.
Slaissi trying to control the position but Hanson manages to sink in the hooks.
Slaissi rolls, trying to escape but Hanson keeps control of the position.
Hanson is trying to stick to Slaissi's back but Slaissi is turning into Hanson. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hanson's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Slaissi.

Hanson has his foot on Slaissi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Slaissi works his way back into a safe position though.

Slaissi tried to score with a low kick but Hanson checks it.
Slaissi throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Slaissi tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Hanson feints the counter takedown.
We've been told by Slaissi's head coaches at MMA Training and Sparring Buddies that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hanson avoids the head kick by Slaissi.
Slaissi throws a lazy right hand but Hanson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Slaissi works the jab nicely.
Slaissi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hanson.

Slaissi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hanson has time to react.

Hanson ducks under a wild hook from Slaissi.
Slaissi misses with a head kick.
Slaissi explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Hanson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Slaissi shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Hanson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Bimbo Slaissi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slaissi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Slaissi throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Slaissi works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Slaissi swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Good exchange - Slaissi coming out on top.
A telegraphed right hand from Slaissi misses the target.
Hanson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hanson moves away from the strike by Slaissi.
Hanson is still on wobbly legs! Can Slaissi finish him?
Hanson shoots in but no luck this time.
Slaissi seems to be stalking Hanson here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastating head kick! Hanson drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bimbo Slaissi!
