Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Bass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Thompson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson throws a lazy right hand but Bass sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Thompson looks to score with a jab to the body but Bass is just out of range.
Scott Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thompson shoots in for a takedown but Bass shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
We've been told by Bass's head coaches at BRAZILIAN TOP TEAM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Thompson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Bass makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Thompson misses with a body shot
and Bass counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Thompson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Scott Thompson has been cut.
Sam Bass has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Thompson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bass displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Thompson throws out the jab.

and Bass cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Thompson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Thompson dives in for a single leg takedown but Bass sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Thompson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Thompson throws a body punch but Bass moves out of range.

and Bass counters with a good low kick that Thompson was not able to check.

and Bass counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Bass counters with a huge left! Thompson is in big trouble! He's backing up but Bass isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Thompson from any more damage. A dominating finish by Bass!
