Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Dilbrandt (ranked 2096 p4p, 2809 weight class) and Tyres Widforss (ranked 174 p4p, 221 weight class). Dilbrandt comes to the cage accompanied by Rock the Dragon. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Dilbrandt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyres Widforss! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dilbrandt throws a body shot but no joy. Dilbrandt fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Dilbrandt throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Dilbrandt chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Dilbrandt looks to score with a jab to the body but Widforss is just out of range. Widforss takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Widforss connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Widforss lands a nice shot to the body.
Widforss walks into a stiff left hand from Dilbrandt. Widforss has a takedown stuffed. Dilbrandt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Dilbrandt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Widforss slips under a jab. Widforss moves away from the strike by Dilbrandt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Widforss looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dilbrandt! Sloppy strikes there by Widforss. Dilbrandt is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Widforss is trying to get an arm triangle but Dilbrandt is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Dilbrandt's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Widforss is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dilbrandt knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Widforss is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dilbrandt is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Widforss trying to control the position but Dilbrandt is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Widforss goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Dilbrandt has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Widforss but great work by Dilbrandt. Widforss is trying to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dilbrandt is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Widforss will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Widforss tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dilbrandt wants to stand but Widforss has his arm trapped. Widforss tries to buck Dilbrandt off but Dilbrandt is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dilbrandt stands up and beckons Widforss to his feet. Widforss is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dilbrandt sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Dilbrandt misses with an uppercut. Widforss saw that one coming. An inside leg kick lands from Dilbrandt. Dilbrandt throws a head kick but Widforss moves out of range.
Widforss shoots in for a double leg but Dilbrandt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. David Dilbrandt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyres Widforss. Dilbrandt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Widforss shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dilbrandt as he avoids it easily. Dilbrandt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Widforss gets the takedown into side control. Widforss thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
