Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nero Hardy (ranked 1150 p4p, 791 weight class) and Lou Valentine (ranked 161 p4p, 114 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nero Hardy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lou Valentine!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy shoots in looking for a takedown. Valentine tries to sprawl out of it but Hardy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Valentine manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Valentine has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Hardy scores with a hook to the body. Valentine takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Hardy cracks Valentine with a good jab.
Valentine swings for the body but Hardy moves out of range.
Valentine misses with a hook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Valentine looks to score with a jab to the body but Hardy is just out of range.
Valentine connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Hardy jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Hardy closes the distance and clinches up with Valentine, looking for a takedown. Hardy pushes Valentine against the cage but Valentine circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Valentine! But no joy.
Hardy dives in and grabs Valentine's left leg, looking for a takedown. Valentine pushes down on Hardy's head and hops out.

Hardy has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Valentine avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Hardy has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Valentine is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Valentine tries to work over Hardy's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Valentine lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Valentine.

Valentine's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hardy moves out of range of the leg kick from Valentine.
Hardy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Valentine swivels and escapes.
Valentine moves away from the strike by Hardy.

Hardy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Valentine sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Hardy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Valentine is fending him off so far but Hardy persists. Nope, Valentine circles away and we're back to standing.

Hardy closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Valentine did well to prevent Hardy getting side control.
Valentine slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Valentine is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hardy defends well.

Valentine working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hardy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hardy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Valentine is looking for a triangle but Hardy pushes his legs off easily.
Valentine looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Hardy trying to control but Valentine is working from the bottom.
Valentine has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hardy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hardy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Valentine manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hardy has Valentine in his guard.
Valentine wants to pass the guard but Hardy is keeping the position.
Hardy seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Valentine wants to control from the top but Hardy keeps moving.
Valentine throws a strike but Hardy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Hardy scores with a nice strike.
Hardy has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Valentine.
Hardy throws an overhand right that lands on Valentine's shoulder, as Valentine tries to avoid the shot.
Valentine is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Valentine lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Hardy throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Valentine throws a sloppy head kick and Hardy moves out of range easily.
Hardy goes for a double leg but Valentine avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Valentine continues to drive forward.

and Valentine counters with a stiff right hand.

and Hardy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hardy throws an off balance right hand
and Valentine counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Valentine lands a big uppercut and Hardy crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hardy looks OK. Valentine waves Hardy back to his feet!
Hardy is rocked!
Valentine lands a right hook to the body.
Oh Hardy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hardy drops his hands momentarily. Valentine doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Hardy staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Hardy doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lou Valentine!
