Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas McCain (ranked 1255 p4p, 1350 weight class) and Clinch King Smash Machine (ranked 189 p4p, 206 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smash Machine gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and McCain counters with a head kick that drops Smash Machine to the mat! Smash Machine scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Smash Machine is rocked!
Clinch King Smash Machine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left lands for Smash Machine.
McCain throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Smash Machine's jaw, knocking him onto his back! McCain dives in looking to finish as Smash Machine flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block McCain 's strikes! McCain is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Smash Machine's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Smash Machine was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
