Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sao Alela (ranked 1057 p4p, 2676 weight class) and Doko Dokov (ranked 139 p4p, 313 weight class). Alela comes to the cage accompanied by Cryin' Like a Bitch. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dokov drives through and clinches with Alela against the cage.
Dokov is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Alela gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Alela wants to get back to striking at distance but Dokov won't allow it.

Alela breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Alela connects with a jab.
Dokov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dokov moves in looking to clinch but Alela pushes him off.
Dokov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alela swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Dokov bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
A punch lands to the side of Dokov 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Dokov throws a left and a right that both miss
and Alela connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dokov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Alela stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
With the fighters up against the cage, Alela throws an elbow but misses.

Dokov manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Dokov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Alela's guard.

Sao Alela has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doko Dokov.
Dokov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Alela connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dokov scrambles back to his feet.

Dokov takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A nice left hand lands by Alela.
Dokov lands a left hand that snaps the head of Alela backwards.
Alela lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Alela breaks from the clinch.
Alela throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
As Alela backs off Dokov throws a huge counter combo but Alela manages to avoid it all.
Alela is looking to score with low kicks.

Alela gets caught napping as Dokov dives in and scores a takedown. Alela manages to retain guard.

Alela manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dokov blocks an uppercut.

Alela tightens his grip and picks Dokov up, before dumping him to the ground. Dokov manages to land in guard.

Dokov has his foot on Alela's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alela works his way back into a safe position though.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Dokov closes the distance and pushes Alela back into the cage.

Dokov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Alela tried to counter with a leg kick but Dokov avoided it.
Alela is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dokov can do to turn this around?

Alela is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Dokov can't fight it off and eventually Alela manages to take the fight to the floor. Dokov looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Dokov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alela looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Dokov working his ground and pound in the gym.
Dokov throwing strikes but Alela manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Alela has an Americana. Dokov didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Alela is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Alela hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
