Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Noah Diaz (ranked 1700 p4p, 2273 weight class) and Cutter Lune (ranked 235 p4p, 294 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Diaz might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to OPULENT. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Noah Diaz! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cutter Lune! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Diaz instigates a clinch. Diaz managing to block the knees to the body from Lune.
Diaz is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lune to keep the fight standing. Diaz avoids a wild elbow strike from Lune. Lune lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Noah Diaz has been cut. Lune misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Diaz.

Lune's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Lune throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Diaz pulls guard effortlessly. Lune trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Diaz keeping moving, preventing Lune from controlling successfully. Diaz working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lune controls from within his opponent's guard. Lune wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving. Lune has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Diaz to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Lune is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Diaz pulls down on the head and he's put Lune to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Noah Diaz! Noah Diaz retains his welterweight title! Our winner, Noah Diaz, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
