Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobo Valdenius (ranked 4406 p4p, 24710 weight class) and Ragnar Jahr (ranked 487 p4p, 571 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ragnar Jahr!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valdenius takes a kick to the side of the head.
Jahr misses with a lunging right hand
and Valdenius counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Valdenius content to stall in guard here.
Jahr will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Valdenius tries to free his leg and advance position but Jahr is retaining full guard.
Valdenius is working hard here to advance position.
Valdenius is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Valdenius stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jahr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Valdenius seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Jahr misses with a looping left.
Ragnar Jahr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Valdenius has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jahr.
Jahr misses with a combination
and Valdenius counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Valdenius is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jahr doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Valdenius.
Valdenius is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Valdenius slows the pace down in half guard.
Valdenius is pressing down on Jahr's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jahr is holding on for now.
Valdenius seems to be looking for submissions.
Jahr felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Still in half guard, Valdenius seems content to control.

Valdenius is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Valdenius is keen to just control but Jahr is a slippery customer.
Jahr is defending against the submission attempts here by Valdenius.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Valdenius passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jahr!
Jahr flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jahr is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Valdenius moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jahr has worked his arm free - good work by Jahr!
Jahr tries to improve position but can't.
Valdenius is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jahr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Jahr trying his best to control but Valdenius has mounted him.
Jahr keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jahr trying desperately to get to his feet.
Jahr is squirming around, avoiding Valdenius's attempts to control the action.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bobo Valdenius dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Jahr throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Jahr jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Jahr thows a leg kick but Valdenius checks it
and Valdenius counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Valdenius.
Jahr is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Valdenius dives into side control.
Valdenius tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Valdenius has hold of Jahr's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Jahr seems comfortable defending it but Valdenius has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Jahr is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Jahr is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Valdenius couldn't care less - he's delighted!
