Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Randleman (ranked 45 p4p, 121 weight class) and Duck Dodgers (ranked 7 p4p, 21 weight class). Randleman's entrance music is Bloodhound Gang - Bad Touch. A fine choice. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 39 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Randleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Duck Dodgers!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dodgers keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Randleman misses with the body kick
and Dodgers counters with a thumping low kick.
Dodgers misses with a lunging right hand
and Randleman counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dodgers thinking.
Randleman has been working on his boxing with his coaches at GWad's Playpen in the buildup to the fight.
Randleman thuds his shin into the meat of Dodgers's side.
Randleman feints and then cracks Dodgers's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dodgers down.
Dodgers misses with a hook
and Randleman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Randleman swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Dodgers.
Randleman throws a hook but Dodgers avoids it easily.

Dodgers connects with a good right hand that stumbles Randleman. Randleman circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Randleman throws a head kick that misses

and Dodgers holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dodgers misses with a body punch.
Randleman tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Dodgers misses with a short punch on the inside.

Randleman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Randleman throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Dodgers cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Donk. Randleman catches Dodgers right on the button with a cross.

It looks like Duck Dodgers has been cut.
Dodgers drops his hands momentarily and Randleman takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

A nice inside leg kick there by Randleman. That's going to slow Dodgers down.
Dodgers moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dodgers looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Randleman scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A decent looking cross lands there for Randleman.
Dodgers throws a shot to the body.

Dodgers throws out a counter right but Randleman avoids it with no problem.

Randleman clobbers Dodgers with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Randleman throws a lazy uppercut
and Dodgers counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
A solid leg kick lands there for Dodgers.
Randleman misses with a looping left.
Randleman throws a shot from downtown. Dodgers moves away and avoids it.
Dodgers connects with an inside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A head kick misses from Dodgers.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Randleman.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Randleman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Randy Randleman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Randleman misses with a hook. Dodgers ducked under it nicely.
Randleman drops his hands momentarily and Dodgers takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Dodgers lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Randleman throws a push kick but Dodgers slaps the foot to one side.
Randleman moves out of range of the leg kick from Dodgers.
Randleman was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Randleman digs a good body shot into Dodgers's ribs.

Randleman throws a good cross that connects.
Randleman scores with a crisp jab that stopped Dodgers in his tracks.
Randleman lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Randleman will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Randleman throws a body punch but Dodgers moves out of range.

Randleman throws a hook but Dodgers avoids it easily.
Dodgers steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Randleman. That one must have hurt.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Randleman lands a big right hand that sends Dodgers crashing to the mat! Randleman stays standing though and waves Dodgers back to his feet!

Dodgers is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
A decent looking cross lands there for Randleman.
Randleman throws a hook to the side of Dodgers's head but Dodgers sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dodgers tries a quick counter leg kick but Randleman is wise to it.
Randleman lands with an uppercut that bounces Dodgers off the cage and back into range.

Dodgers looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

and Dodgers counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dodgers has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

and Dodgers counters with a nice uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Randleman cracks Dodgers with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Randleman has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Dodgers to stand back up!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Dodgers moves into the clinch.

Randleman throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Dodgerss head.
Randleman wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Dodgers pushes Randleman back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Randleman.
Dodgers stalls.
Randleman's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Randleman scores with a shoulder strike.
Dodgers swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Randleman is trying to break the clinch but Dodgers has him pressed against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Dodgers - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Dodgers lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Randleman or not.
Randleman wants to break free but Dodgers has control.
Randleman has a couple of punches blocked by Dodgers.

Dodgers jumps guard and drags Randleman to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Randleman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dodgers swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dodgers seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Dodgers looking to hit a scissor sweep but Randleman is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Randleman is fighting to break Dodgers's control of his arms but Dodgers is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Randleman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dodgers swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Dodgers looks to land a right hand but Randleman moved out of range.
It looked like Randleman wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Dodgers lands with a thumping leg kick.
Randleman throws a leg kick which misses Dodgers's front leg but catches the back leg as Dodgers tries to avoid it.
Randy Randleman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A nice inside leg kick there by Dodgers. That's going to slow Randleman down.
Randleman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dodgers stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Dodgers misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Randleman.
A counter left hand to the body from Randleman misses its target.
Randleman avoids the head kick by Dodgers.
Randleman jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Dodgers throws a leg kick
and Randleman counters with a nice low kick that buckles Dodgers's knee momentarily.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Randy Randleman.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Randleman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Randy Randleman spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
