Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexey Markov!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Heavy Zak Dos!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markov blocks the body kick.
Zak Dos has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Heavy Zak Dos has been cut.
Markov steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Zak Dos. That one must have hurt.
Markov lands an overhand right.
Zak Dos wants to clinch.
Both fighters circling a little - Zak Dos finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Markov cracks a nice hook into Zak Dos's ribs.
Markov scores with a jab to the jaw.
Zak Dos takes one on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Zak Dos jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Zak Dos swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Markov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Markov swings for the body but Zak Dos moves out of range.
Zak Dos closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Zak Dos misses with some punches.
Markov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Markov connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Markov slips a jab from Zak Dos.
Zak Dos cracks Markov with a good jab.
Zak Dos steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Markov.
Zak Dos replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Markov blocks it well.
Markov doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Nice jab there from Markov.
Markov throws the left hand but Zak Dos avoids the punch easily.
Zak Dos wants to counter the offense by Markov and move into the clinch position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Markov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zak Dos throws out the jab.
Markov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Markov lands with a good body shot.
Zak Dos takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
It looks like Markov has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Markov drops Zak Dos with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Zak Dos looks back up at him and smiles so Markov waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Markov cracks Zak Dos with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Zak Dos falls to his knees and Markov doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexey Markov!
