Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ethan Hawk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Angus MacArthur Ii!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk has managed to clinch.
Hawk has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Hawk jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as MacArthur Ii walks away with a smile on his face. Hawk gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
MacArthur Ii goes for a double leg but Hawk avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hawk continues to drive forward.
Hawk rushes MacArthur Ii and presses him up against the cage.
Hawk is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables MacArthur Ii to keep the fight standing.
