Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kale Barton (ranked 4115 p4p, 4172 weight class) and Eddie Roth (ranked 424 p4p, 434 weight class). Barton comes to the cage accompanied by Fredo - Scoreboard feat. Tiggs Da Author. Roth has chosen Straight Back to It as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kale Barton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eddie Roth! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roth gets caught flat footed, as Barton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Roth wants to stand up but Barton is controlling him. Barton content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Roth has momentary wrist control but Barton slips an elbow through the middle. Barton throws an elbow that misses. Roth uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Barton's guard. Nice move by Roth! Barton looking for a sweep. Not yet Barton, not yet. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Barton holds on and takes a little breather. Barton tries to land a sweep but no joy. Roth really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Roth lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Barton circles away quickly and effectively. Barton takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Barton not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Barton lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
