Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michiel Kortenhorst (ranked 2032 p4p, 934 weight class) and Phillip Personal Space (ranked 235 p4p, 121 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michiel Kortenhorst! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phillip Personal Space! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Personal Space lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kortenhorst is trying hard to land a takedown here. Personal Space sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A little jabbing left from Personal Space on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Personal Space waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kortenhorst. Personal Space stuffs the takedown attempt from Kortenhorst. Kortenhorst gets slowly back to his feet. Personal Space gets caught napping as Kortenhorst dives in and scores a takedown. Personal Space manages to retain guard. Personal Space trying to control the position.
Personal Space is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Personal Space really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kortenhorst. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Personal Space is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Personal Space keeps trying to improve his position. Kortenhorst pushes down on Personal Space's leg and manages to get into half guard. Personal Space wants to improve his position but Kortenhorst is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Personal Space has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kortenhorst is working away from the top position though. Kortenhorst is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Personal Space is looking for a sweep. Kortenhorst is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kortenhorst is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Personal Space doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kortenhorst. Personal Space trying to control from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kortenhorst has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Personal Space tries to hold on but Kortenhorst pushes him away. Personal Space working to try and regain half guard.
Kortenhorst is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Personal Space has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Kortenhorst prevents Personal Space from getting the reversal. Kortenhorst wants to control the pace but Personal Space is squirming around nicely. Kortenhorst looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Personal Space holds on to Kortenhorst around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks. Kortenhorst working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Kortenhorst is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Personal Space can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Personal Space reaches up to try and pull Kortenhorst in and control his posture, but Kortenhorst latches on to an arm and pivots quickly for an armbar! Personal Space taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Michiel Kortenhorst! Michiel Kortenhorst opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
