Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yaya Kouame (ranked 3464 p4p, 1496 weight class) and Junior Barbosa (ranked 418 p4p, 206 weight class). Kouame comes to the cage accompanied by 2Pac - All Eyez On Me. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yaya Kouame!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Junior Barbosa!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kouame throws out the jab.
Barbosa ducks under a wild hook from Kouame.
Barbosa tries to close the distance and clinch but Kouame swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
An attempted straight right counter from Kouame misses the target.
Barbosa slips a straight right by Kouame.
Barbosa lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Nice uppercut there from Kouame.
Barbosa has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Barbosa goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kouame.
Barbosa's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Barbosa tries to stall but Kouame uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Kouame swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kouame tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Barbosa misses with a body punch.
Barbosa breaks the clinch.
Barbosa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kouame.

Barbosa drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Kouame swings widly with a right hand
and Barbosa counters with a nice leg kick.
Barbosa connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kouame's hands.
A nice inside leg kick there by Barbosa. That's going to slow Kouame down.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters circle momentarily. Barbosa darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kouame is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Barbosa moves away from the strike by Kouame.
Kouame misses with an uppercut. Barbosa saw that one coming.

Barbosa wants to clinch up but Kouame keeps it at a distance.

Barbosa lands a leg kick that knocks Kouame off balance momentarily.
Kouame loads up on a big right hand but Barbosa slips the punch.
A slow jab from Kouame misses its intended target.
Barbosa tries to score with a low kick but Kouame moves his leg out of the way.

Barbosa throws a big shot that misses.
Barbosa moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Kouame lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Barbosa slips under a jab.
Kouame throws a lazy uppercut
and Barbosa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kouame is rocked!
Barbosa cracks Kouame with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Kouame tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Barbosa pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Kouame is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Junior Barbosa!
During a confident post fight interview, Junior Barbosa thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
