Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Herra Peto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Messiah Penn!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peto dives in and grabs Penn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Penn pushes down on Peto's head and hops out.
Peto lands a two punch combo.
Peto shoots in and gets a takedown into Penn's guard.
Peto trying to control but Penn is working from the bottom.
Peto passes Penn's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Penn actively working from the bottom here.
Penn has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Peto is working away from the top position though.
Penn is refusing to be controlled, as Peto sits in half guard.
Penn looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Peto tries to pass the half guard into mount. Penn knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Peto is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Penn keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Peto wants to work for an arm triangle but Penn is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Peto looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Peto is trying to improve position by moving to mount. Penn has hold of his neck though and manages to move into guard! All of a sudden, Peto is in a lot of trouble! Penn is straining to finish and he's done it! Peto taps out! Amazing!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Messiah Penn!
Messiah Penn spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
