Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salamies shoots in looking for a takedown. Penn tries to sprawl out of it but Salamies keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Penn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Penn leaves Salamies with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Salamies tries for a takedown but Penn sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Salamies dives in and grabs Penn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Penn pushes down on Salamies's head and hops out.

The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Salamies, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Messiah Penn was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
