PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Loke Axelsen (ranked 1055 p4p, 4523 weight class) and Terry Lyle (ranked 47 p4p, 187 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Axelsen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Cha Cha PT2- Freddie Dredd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Loke Axelsen!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Terry Lyle!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyle throws a left and a right that both miss
and Axelsen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Terry Lyle has been cut.
Lyle's corner calls for a 1-2. Lyle obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Axelsen defending well as Lyle loads up on a big left hand.
A big right from Lyle misses.
As Lyle looks to move away, Axelsen throws a big counter combo but Lyle just gets out of the way.
Lyle looks to land a left hand but Axelsen moved out of range nicely.
It looked like Axelsen was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Axelsen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Axelsen takes a jab right on the kisser.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A combination from Lyle does no damage.
A little feinted left hand from Axelsen on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Lyle misses with an uppercut.
Axelsen paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Axelsen feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lyle sprawling to the canvas! Lyle rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Axelsen finish him?!
Lyle throws a looping overhand right but Axelsen ducks down to avoid it.
Lyle lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Axelsen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lyle.
Axelsen is looking to counter punch.
Axelsen blocks a jab.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lyle misses with a few strikes there.
Axelsen cracks Lyle with a good jab.

Axelsen lands a big uppercut and Lyle crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Lyle looks OK. Axelsen waves Lyle back to his feet!
Axelsen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lyle sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lyle is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Lyle misses with a double jab
and Axelsen counters with a crisp right that sends Lyle to the canvas! Axelsen follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Loke Axelsen spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
